BOARDWALK SHADOWS A - Seaside Heights, New Jersey
As the sun illuminated everything in its path, The Berkeley Sweet Shop on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk, had to protect its delicate candies from the relentless heat.
Their solution was a brightly colored awning. What caught my eye were the silhouettes created as people passed in front of the store.
For three weeks I photographed not only friends interacting but also the random compositions created by unsuspecting strangers.

I photographed the shadows of friends and strangers alike as they walked down the boardwalk.
My only rule was that if they realized I was there and performed for the camera, I would delete the capture.

The Berkeley Sweet Shop was one of 40 plus businesses destroyed by the Seaside Heights boardwalk fire.
