BETTA FISH - studio - Poipu - island of Kauai, Hawaii
You wouldn't think I'd do too much studio photography living on Kauai, but when it rains for 40 straight days, you've got to consider every option.
After a trip to the local pet shop, I decided to photograph Siamese Fighting Fish, commonly known as Betta.
Much to my surprise, these little devils didn't spend a lot of time spreading their delicate fins but were content to lay around doing nothing.
Eventually, I figured out that letting them see another fish is what they live and die for.
