LANAI PINES REFLECTION -
island of Lanai, Hawaii
In 1911, the manager of The Lanai Ranch realized that Cook Island Pines were extracting water from the evening fog and bringing much needed water to the island.
It's estimated that each tree is adding 200 gallons of water to the island every day!
Today, every road on Lanai is lined with hundreds of these trees and if you've visited this island I'm confident you'll appreciate the concept I've illustrated.
