George Diebold sets off to travel over 6,000 miles in six weeks — an incredible journey which extends from the coast of Washington to the Mexican border, and as far east as Yellowstone in Wyoming. He is eager to return to the American West and Pacific Northwest for spring shooting. Alamogordo, New Mexico, is a key stop on the trip; he shoots the sand dunes at White Sands National Monument. He also visits Big Sur, the Pacific Coast Highway, the Salt Flats, Utah, and Lake Tahoe, where there was an unexpected spring snowfall.  George also spends four days at Desert Valley Auto Parts in Arizona shooting two vintage auto yards as part of an ongoing project focused on abstract shapes and details found on classic cars. Highlights of the trip include: Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, the Canyonlands and Yellowstone National Park.
